'Create A Scene' is the title of the challenge over at Cute Card Thursday this week and i must admit when i read through the requirements i thought i would have to miss out as i didn't have anything with which to create my scene!
Then i remembered that i had the clear stamp set called Mindy's Zoo by Autumn Leaves, which has loads of cute animals, birds, flowers and even a palm tree......... a perfect set for 'creating a scene'....................and this is my first try at a stair step card, i've been wanting to try one for ages and i really like how it's turned out :)
I stamped all the images with black Stazon onto watercolour paper and then coloured in using Adirondack & Distress inks and a waterbrush. It took rather a long time to cut them all out........not helped by the fact that i am quite scissor challenged! i prefer to use a craft knife really, but these images were too intricate to cut this way and scissors were the only option!
I found a brilliant tutorial for this stairstep technique, with cutting and scoring instructions and a whole gallery of cards which you can find HERE
Thank you for your time today, i appreciate all your visits and comments ;-D
See you soon....
Hugs
