Mel's tutorial is easy to follow and she has some fab examples of it on her blog.I had several 'try outs' ! :) before i settled on this one, the others were not quite right somehow, i think i tried some weird colour combinations! so they ended up looking a bit muddy :)
My design uses a dark green wax crayon(borrowed from my GD's colouring box!) on top of the embossed white cardstock, then with a paintbrush i have added some undiluted 'Lettuce' Alcohol ink over the entire piece. I used a Nestabilitie die to cut the aperture once everything was dry.
The pink card base is Bazzill, paper Hydrangeas are Prima and i've used my Inkssentials pen for the dotty doodling! Birthday candle and ribbon are from my stash.
