It's time again for the Cuttlebug Challenge! # 6 already, and this week there is a sketch to work from :) by Scrapfreak. I do enjoy working from a sketch and i love to see all the different ways that we all use them. For my card today i have used the technique of inking the embossing folder before putting the cardstock inside to emboss. It gives a very pleasing effect, and is really easy to do! I brayer my ink onto the underside of the printed half, the smoothest part and then place my card inside and run through the bug. I always use Adirondack ink, but i guess others would work too :)
My embossed piece was cut into squares, and then mounted onto some black Bazzill. The butterflies are a Woodware punch and i've added some sparkle with Glamour Dust. The sentiment is a rub-on by Stampin Up, ribbon from stash!
I would love to see what YOU do with the sketch, so if you decide to play then let me know......i love to hop around and see what you've all been up to!!

Carol, I think this is a beautiful card! It is a design that will work all year, and is so very pretty! I love the look of the embossed design cut into the squares at the bottom.
ReplyDeleteCarol, I love your card. Did you use white or blue ink? Did you ink the indented part? I can't wait to try this.
ReplyDeleteI'd love to know who you are? In answer to the question.....i used Adirondack ink in Stonewashed, and i brayer the ink on the inside of the printed part of the folder. Hope this makes sense! Let me know if i can be of any more help :)
