I've been wanting to try this one all week! but only just managing to squeeze in at the last minute again, if i spent much less time looking at all the other blogs and more time actually making stuff!!! but i bet most of us are guilty of this and with so many creative people out there, it would be a shame to miss all the wonderful things that everyone makes :)

The challenge set at Papertake, was 'simply stripes' to use stripes on your project. Well... i wanted to use some more of my 'Two Scoops' paper, but was slightly miffed by none of the papers having what i would call a definite stripe to them, then i noticed the cover of my 6 x 6 pad had lovely stripes on it! so i've used the cover to create my card :-)
From the remainder of the cover i cut out the scalloped oval, using my Marvy giga punch and onto this i edged it with Ranger paint dabber in 'Aqua' and stamped the Hero Arts bird also with the paint. The little heart, is from my Cricut scraps box and i stamped this with a greeting from HOTP and Colorbox cats eye in Prussian Blue. I've also used a Prima flower, gem brad from Dovecraft and some ribbon from my stash. My motto is, use every last little bit of your Basic know you want to!!!!!
