I've been wanting to try this one all week! but only just managing to squeeze in at the last minute again, if i spent much less time looking at all the other blogs and more time actually making stuff!!! but i bet most of us are guilty of this and with so many creative people out there, it would be a shame to miss all the wonderful things that everyone makes :)
The challenge set at Papertake, was 'simply stripes' to use stripes on your project. Well... i wanted to use some more of my 'Two Scoops' paper, but was slightly miffed by none of the papers having what i would call a definite stripe to them, then i noticed the cover of my 6 x 6 pad had lovely stripes on it! so i've used the cover to create my card :-)
From the remainder of the cover i cut out the scalloped oval, using my Marvy giga punch and onto this i edged it with Ranger paint dabber in 'Aqua' and stamped the Hero Arts bird also with the paint. The little heart, is from my Cricut scraps box and i stamped this with a greeting from HOTP and Colorbox cats eye in Prussian Blue. I've also used a Prima flower, gem brad from Dovecraft and some ribbon from my stash. My motto is, use every last little bit of your Basic Grey....you know you want to!!!!!
Oh my gosh, the new Basic Grey paper. This is really gorgheous card. Love it.
