Penny Black Saturday & A Purple Butterfly!

Can you believe the last three projects i've made contain no designer patterned paper!!!

My card today for the current challenge of Red, White & Blue over at PBSC is one of those projects......i still had my supplies to hand after completing my DT projects for TPE.........so i used them for this one too!

Image.... PB 'Catching the Star' 2990k
Colour.... Promarkers
Sentiment.... Printworks
Ink.... Versafine Onyx Black
Cardstock.... Bazzill, K&Co re-make, & Papermania
Square & circle punches.... Woodware
Pearls.... Kanban
Inkssentials pen

The ballet show was fabulous yesterday! and in time honoured tradition my gorgeous Granddaughter had only been on the stage about 30 seconds before i started blubbing!! She looked so beautiful as a Purple Butterfly(as they all did) and i felt so proud of her.........it was all a bit overwhelming.........worst of it was i didn't have a tissue..........we left the house in such a hurry that i left my handbag at home.....................no money for a drink in the interval and no tissues!!

Unfortunately we were not allowed to take pictures at the show, but luckily my son managed to snap a few before they dashed off to the performance..................
see the little sticker from her comic on the back of her hand! .......shame about Mark's legs!! (other Grandad)....the backdrop is a bit of a shambles!!
It wasn't a ballet show in the true sense of the word, more like a dance show with some ballet included. It was called 'Wish you were here' whereby they covered several countries around the globe with different dance routines, they even had loads of them dessed as lions for the Africa section....... Danielle was a purple Butterfly in an English Country Garden..................it lasted an hour and a half with a break of 20mins in the middle.........it was wonderful and i thoroughly enjoyed myself :)

Thanks for your time today................see you soon ;-D

  5. How lovely! Glad the show went well, I always cry at any shows my boys take part in, much to their embarassment!

  7. Awwww Carol.
A Grandma's privilege is to cry with pride ... so you go ahead. Your precious grandaughter's an absolute doll.
I love PB stamps especially the hedgies ... just wish I could afford them all LOL!
Love your card and if I may say you have proven that patterned paper isn't always needed to make an impact. Love it!

  9. Awww! We had a rendition of 'when we went to Farmer Teds' bit like Old McDonald with some very funny individual performances from some of the kids in reception year! Samuel was a pig!!
